THE BLOGHOUSE
On occasion of the IFA 2007, our client Vitamin-e was assigned to conceive, create, design, market, produce and operate a 700 sqm large special interactive and educative exhibition showcasing the topic „From broadcasting to web 2.0“. Additionally, the lead agency was requested to acquire sponsor partners to co-host the show as well as coordinate both the press relations and events on site.
In close cooperation with Vitamin-e, the vision of THE BLOGHOUSE was first conceptualized and then brought to life.
The Bloghouse was an infotainment category show platform encompassing 3 contextual dimensions: understanding, creating and experiencing Web 2.0. Embedded in an exciting, minimalistic environment consensually labelled the IFA’s architectural hallmark, seven entertaining artisitic installations revolving around the focal themes were employed to transfer the topics in an involving and sympathetic manner and demonstrate the diversity and the opportunities of Web 2.0.
At the same time The Bloghouse also resembled a platform for lectures, panels and performances, amongst others hosting the “Medienpolitik @ IFA” panels with such illustrious guests as Kurt Beck (Rhineland-Palatinate premier and chairman of the SPD Kurt Beck ) or CEO’s of leading electronic consumer brands.
In stark contrast to the overall visual and acoustic overload characteristic of the world’s largest consumer electronics fare, The Bloghouse was intended as a place offering inspiration, communication and tranquility.
